Sunset Abstract Expressionist Acrylic Painting: Maximalist Home Decor, 36x48 Wood Panel

$1,200.00
SUNSET-

Inspired by the beauty of the Las Vegas fiery sunset. This painting consists of elements that bring that beauty to life. From sculpted areas reminiscent of star trails to contrasting monotone canvas.

This artwork features an abstract and somewhat psychedelic motif. At its center, there appears to be a circular form, possibly representing an eye or a vortex, from which vibrant, flame-like shapes emanate in various directions. These shapes are rendered in gradients of color, with tones of yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, and black, creating a sense of dynamic movement and energy. The colors are intense and contrasting, which adds to the visual impact of the piece.

The brushwork is notably detailed in certain areas, with textured strokes that provide a sense of depth and dimensionality. Some areas of the artwork have raised, sculptural elements that catch the light and shadow differently than the flatter areas, giving the piece a tactile and layered look. These elements combine to create a fiery and dynamic composition that is visually arresting and open to interpretation.

Created on a 36x48 inch wood panel with 1.5 inches of depth. I began my process with laying down a few layers of gesso for base. I then cut and burned through the wood panel to make slats for the canvas. next came the sculpting. I put down molding paste, and sculpted out a large swirling vortex, for extra texture. finally, I could begin painting. laying down my base colors of bright bold colors blending them together to create an immerging visual. adding some stunning variegated gold leaf to the sculpted areas, for a tinge of sheen. Now coming back in, with the acrylic paint. Perfecting the shading and lines on the sinewy petals. Now on the canvas. Each canvas was painted in monotone black and white for contrast. This time hit with a silver leafing. I then burn through the canvas and it's edges and stretched it through the wood panel. Allowing glimpse of the bases to show through.

This painting strongly exhibits the bold statement of maximalist design. The strong rainbow colors smoothly mix with the sculpted areas of textures give off so much depth. It is truly a sight to behold.

Acrylic paint, gold leaf, and molding paste. on 35x48 inch wood panel. The sides are 1.5-inch depth and painted black. Ready to hang using a French cleat system. Simply screw one cleat into the wall, level, and just attach the painting to it.
