Bex has been creating bold beautiful art pieces since 2013

Bex Nikols is a self-taught artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada, who began her artistic journey at the age of 16. Known for her bold and vibrant abstract expressionist works, Bex has developed a signature style called “Sinewy,” characterized by organic, muscle-like designs that evoke strong emotions and ultimately lead to a sense of peace. Her innovative approach incorporates unique materials such as burned wood panels, sculpted vortexes, metal leafing, bleach, and upcycled vinyl records, creating dynamic and textured statement pieces. Inspired by her personal experiences with bipolar disorder, many of her works feature central motifs like eyes, vortexes, or swirls, symbolizing the feeling of being trapped within one’s mind amidst the chaos of the world. Bex is the co-owner of Vivid Gallery inside The Arts Factory in Las Vegas, and her work is showcased throughout the Vegas Valley, in galleries across the U.S., and has been sold globally. She is also a proud member of The National Association of Women Artists, established in 1889 in NYC.

From my subconcious

to your home

It begins with a brush stroke. Effortlessly flowing through the canvas. Organically forming an electric vibration of design and energy. The colors call to me bold and full of strength. Shading is the final act. Adding emerging depth.

Heavy Body Acrylic Paints

I use the highest quality heavy bodied acrylic paints. Often laying down 3 layers to create the deepest richest colors possible.

Canvas

Painting are created on high quality gallery wrapped canvas.

Wood Panels

Upcycled record album pieces and more textured 3D pieces are often created on deep wood panels. Creating a solid base for more sculptural creations.

Upcycled Record Albums

I often use upcycled vinyl record albums in my art. For my Sight of Sound collection. Used in a variety of ways, from painting and breaking to heating and sculpting.

Small Works

I believe everyone should have the ability to own original art, no matter the budget. This is why I create a multitude of smaller pieces. From 4x4 inch gallery wrapped canvas acrylic paintings to Upcycled record pieces on wood panels.

Merch

Art comes in many forms. From coffee mugs and bookmarks, to hand crafted record album earrings. They make the perfect gift for the art lover in your lafe.
