Maximalist Abstract Acrylic Painting: Silver Leaf Wood Panel Wall Art (36x48)
$1,200.00
WATER AND SUN-
Inspired by the beauty of the sun radiating above the ocean. This painting consists of elements that bring that beauty to life. From sculpted areas reminiscent of ocean waves to contrasting bright yellow canvas.
Created on a 36x48 inch wood panel with 1.5 inches of depth. I began my process with laying down a few layers of gesso for base. I then cut and burned through the wood panel to make slats for the canvas. next came the sculpting. I put down molding paste, and sculpted out a beautiful free flow design, for extra texture. finally, I could begin painting. laying down my base colors of varying degrees of cooling soothing colors blending them together to create an immerging visual. adding some stunning variegated silver leaf to the sculpted areas, for a tinge of sheen. Now coming back in, with the acrylic paint. Perfecting the shading and lines on the sinewy petals. Now on the canvas. Each canvas was painted with a bright yellow for contrast. This time hit with a bold gold leafing. I then burn through the canvas and it's edges and stretched it through the wood panel. Allowing glimpse of the bases to show through.
This painting strongly exhibits the bold statement of maximalist design. The soothing ombre of colors from purple to teal, then blue smoothly mix with the sculpted areas of textures give off so much depth. It is truly a sight to behold.
Acrylic paint, silver leaf, and molding paste. on 35x48 inch wood panel. The sides are 1.5-inch depth and painted black. Ready to hang using a French cleat system. Simply screw one cleat into the wall, level, and just attach the painting to it.
Signed dated and numbered on the back.
